St Peter's Club Campbelltown
Celebrating over 40 Years of Physical Culture with The Burns Association!
The St Peter’s Physical Culture Club was established by Mrs Anne McLeod in 1979. We are proud to be still holding classes 40 years later, in the same hall!
Back then, Mrs McLeod was coaching the St Peter’s Boys soccer team and jumped at the chance to start up something for girls, especially since after two boys, she now had a daughter. In 2000, daughter Janelle became a trainee teacher, soon taking over the Senior Girls Class. She recently celebrated 15 years as the Senior Girls Instructress. Victoria Tranby has now joined our ranks teaching Intermediates classes.
Our Club is a friendly Club, with members showing their care, dedication and positive attitude toward each other. We encourage our members to strive to achieve to the best of their ability, promoting self-esteem, co-ordination, posture, discipline and above all, good sportsmanship.
It is very rewarding to see young girls, or older members trying physie for the first time and overcoming their shyness to eventually gain courage/confidence to compete. Our stalwart ladies do themselves and our Club proud. We love our physie family!!
We welcome girls and ladies aged 3 to 103 to join with us every Wednesday/Thursday to enjoy friendship and fun whilst keeping fit.
